Sport News and Events

The Sports Centre at the University of Wales, Newport hosts a number of special events throughout the year. These range from sporting events such as the annual ISCA Duathlon to the 5-day Ras De Cymru cycle race.

The Centre also hosts various non-sporting events such as the University Graduation Ceremonies.

Touch Rugby League 2012
Starting on Monday 11 June for 6 weeks.

Ras De Cymru 2012
The Ras De Cymru is a 5 day cycle race event comprising of 6 stages. This year's event will run from 27/6 - 1/7.
Stage 1 Prologue time trial
Stage 2 Rolling road race
Stage 3 Hilly road race
Stage 4 Gently rolling team time trial
Stage 5 Hilly road race
Stage 6 Flat road race

ISCA Duathlon 2012
The event is based at the Caerleon site of the University of Wales, Newport and is ideal for beginners and intermediate competitors.
The race consists if a 4km hilly road run, an 18km undulating road ride and finally a 2nd lap of the run route.
