Academic Structure

Since the 1st August 2011, the University has a new academic structure. There are now two faculties, each of which contains three academic schools.

As well as changes to the structures, and the introduction of the new faculties and schools, the coming months and years will see an increase on the importance placed on providing an entrepreneurial focus to Newport students. Some courses already include modules designed to teach business and commercial skills to students, and this will be rolled out across the University in the coming years. On top of the added focus within courses, students will continue to benefit from the University’s business services such as the Bright Ideas Programme

All of the courses within our academic Schools have been easily categorised into subject areas.  You can find out further information about each subject including news and student experiences by visiting our subject specific webpages.
