Commercial Research Projects

We can work with you on tailored research projects to help you develop your business and gain a competitive advantage in your marketplace.  A University of Wales, Newport scholar can bring fresh ideas and innovation to your organisation, providing new ways of looking at business challenges and issues.

You can take advantage of the following funded programmes that exist:

Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP)

This UK-wide programme helps organisations to increase innovation and competitiveness by accessing the expertise, technology and skills found within universities. A graduate (Associate) would work in your organisation to manage the KTP project and apply their knowledge – actively supported by an academic expert - to embed further expertise within the organisation. Projects vary in length from 6 months to 3 years, depending on your needs.

KTPs are part-funded by the Government, making this an attractive proposition for many businesses.

Businesses of all sizes, from any sector, including 'not for profit' and public sector can apply.   Further information about the Knowledge Transfer Partnership is available.
