The Wall Gallery at the University of Wales, Newport’s City Campus is a large and unique exhibition space in the heart of the campus on the ground floor area which is accessible to the general public as well as students and staff. The Wall Gallery presents a vibrant and stimulating programme of free exhibitions and events aimed at the general public, students and staff. Exhibitions include work from both internal and external artists, photographers and designers.

10 September – 19 October 2012 | Photography exhibition by Ken Garland | This exhibition shows us Ken Garland the photographer.
9 Jan–3 Feb 2012 | MaP | MaP is a collective of applied artists based in Wales. . It was formed in 2001 by a group working on the Contemporary Textile Practice degree course at Cardiff School of Art & Design (UWIC) who felt the need for a supportive network of creative, innovative and like-minded makers.
6 Feb – 2 Mar 2012 | Notes from the Playground | Sarah Hand works with performance, projection and sound activated projections to generate her images. She is attached to the VisuoSonic workshop in Southampton University which is in turn supported by the university’s Centre for Research in Art, Design and Media.
01 March – 25 May | Roger’s Stuff | sculptor Roger Moss has the habit rather more than most. Not objects of a single subject, but a great eclectic mix of things, ephemera to natural forms, kitsch to cultural icons.
5 Mar – 20 Apr 2012 | Newport Survey Exhibition | This exhibition will represent a celebration of the Newport Survey, a project undertaken by Documentary Photography students and Graphic Design students at Newport throughout the 1980s to capture life in the city during the decade.
5 Mar – 20 Apr 2012 | Alan Ward Books | The exhibition contains a variety of outstanding examples of modern book design and clearly illustrates the central role a designer plays in the integration of text word and format.
23 Apr – 18 May 2012 | Photography, Performance and Pleasure Exhibition | Exhibition that considers photography in the act of looking and being looked at. Referring to psychoanalysis, phenomenology and feminism two contemporary practitioners explore the roles of photography and performance in relation to visual pleasure.
2 May 2012 | Photography, Performance and Pleasure Symposium - The Symposium will include presentations and discussions from the artists Dawn Woolley and Jackie Chetturs whose work forms this dynamic exhibition
1 June - 8 June 2012 | Graduate Photography Exhibition | The University of Wales, Newport’s City Campus will be opening its doors to the public for the 2012 Graduate Photography Exhibition. This is a unique opportunity to experience a spectacular array of diverse and innovative work from the University’s graduating students in Photography.
2 July to 24 August 2012 | Truth, Lies and Alibis – a Journey | Christine Kinsey is an artist, who writes and integrates words into her visual language creative process. She has developed a group of female characters who inhabit her imagery and who follow the narrative line of a journey that began in her childhood.
29 October 2012 – 11 Jan 2013 | Photography Alumni Exhibition | The Alumni of Newport’s photography programmes include some of the key figures in photography. This exhibition aims to show the significant influence Newport has had on the world of photography.
