Over recent years, Wales has secured increasing levels of independence and self-governance. In response, the Welsh Government established the Welsh Manufacturing Forum. Its aim was to advise and direct Welsh Industry towards a more economically sustainable future. As a result, the WMF developed the Welsh Manufacturing Strategy.

This presentation delivered by Paul Byard of the Engineering Employers Federation (EEF) will present the development of the Welsh Manufacturing Strategy and further outline the Welsh Government's approach to sustainable growth. His work will include how the Welsh Manufacturing Strategy was created, its key aims and themes and, will include a case study on how the adoption of the strategy has enabled companies to achieve improvements in manufacturing performance. He will end the session with an overview of further support mechanisms and funding routes for Welsh companies.

The presentation will be of particular use to Company Directors and Academics interested in Business Strategy. There will be an opportunity after the event to discuss possible collaboration projects with Paul and how EEF will be able to assist companies in developing key business strategies for growth.
