International Foundation Year

You should apply direct to the Wales International Study Centre.  Read about how to apply for the foundation year.

For International Diploma in Business, Management and Marketing, you should apply direct to the Wales International Study Centre. Read about how to apply for the foundation year.

Pre-Masters plus MBA or MSc Project Management, apply directly to the University.   Download the Pre-Masters plus MBA or MSc Prject Management application form and return it to the address at the bottom of this page.

Access/Foundation Programme

You should apply direct to the University.  You can download the International (Non EU) Application Form from this page.

Undergraduate Courses

Undergraduate students are advised to apply via the University and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). www.ucas.ac.uk

The UCAS code name and number for this University is NPORT N37.

Postgraduate Courses

Remember!

When submitting a direct application, you should:

  • include attested copies of your existing qualifications
  • complete the section on supporting information
  • include examples of your work or a portfolio when applying for our Art,  Media and Design courses

European Union (EU) Students
Students from within the EU should apply in the same way as UK applicant.
Undergraduate Applications  |  Postgraduate Applications
 
If you intend to apply to Newport you will need to demonstrate sufficient skills in English Language in order to complete your chosen course successfully.

You will need one of the following:
•  The British Council’s International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) with a score of 6.0 or more, with no less than 5.5 in each band
•  TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) iBT with a score of 87 or more
•  Pearson PTE Academic test 
•  Password Plus

Please note some courses will have higher language requirements. Please contact the International Office (international@newport.ac.uk) for further information.

Study Abroad and International Exchange Programme

This programme is for students who have been nominated by institutions (outside the Erasmus programme) which have signed an exchange agreement with the University of Wales, Newport. Students should check with their home universities to see if any academic restrictions apply.

This is the programme for European Union students who are not eligible to apply through one of the exchange programmes.
