Publication Scheme

Every public authority subject to the Freedom of Information Act is required to produce a Publication Scheme.

The scheme is arranged into broad "Information Classes", that can be browsed by clicking on the navigation panel to the left.

Information which will not be provided under the Scheme will include:

  • Information in draft form
  • Information the disclosure of which is prevented by law, or exempt under the Freedom of Information Act
  • Information that is no longer readily available because it is contained in archived files or is otherwise difficult to access
  • Information we do not hold

If you have any questions regarding the scheme or would like the information contained within it to be provided to you in hard copy format, please contact the Records and Information Manager. You should note that a charge may be made for providing information available in the Scheme in hard copy.

If you cannot find what you are looking for you can make an FOI request. Further details can be in the FOI section of our website.

The publication scheme may, however, contain information where the copyright holder is not the University of Wales, Newport. In most cases the copyright holder will be obvious from the documents. In cases where the copyright is unclear, however, it is the responsibility of the person accessing the information to locate and seek the permission of the copyright holder before reproducing the material or in any other way breaching the rights of the copyright holder.
