How to access services at The Dyscovery Centre?
Referrals are received from:
Parents and individuals directly and from a range of statutory and voluntary services including GPs; Paediatricians, CAMHS, schools and employers, universities and colleges.
Speak to your GP to find out if they can refer you or your child to the Centre.
If you have private healthcare insurance you may be able to claim for an assessment. You will need to contact the company direct or check the terms and conditions of your policy to see if you are covered.
Referrals are also frequently received from LHB/PCT, and LEA and Social Services, as well as from schools, Paediatricians, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists and GPs, and from colleges and universities from across the UK and internationally.
The team is also able to undertake specific interventions for authorities within the locality.
Holiday groups also run through the year to provide therapeutic support for children of all ages.
Adult referrals come from individuals, colleges, universities, employers and Jobcentre Plus.
