Training at all levels
The Dyscovery Centre has trained over 10,000 professionals nationally and internationally over the past 10 years and has extensive experience providing training to a wide range of clients including:
LEAs and a wide range of educational professionals at all levels
Colleges and Universities - tutors, student support services
Health professionals including - GPs, Paediatricians, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists and other allied health professionals
Parents - providing training, support and guidance in topics including ADHD, Dyspraxia, ASD, behaviour management, managing transition.
Courses run from a half to one day training and inset courses, to a Postgraduate Course in ADHD and DCD at Masters Level. The latter is an online web-based course which has been running successfully for 8 years and has seen students from across the world attending from as far as Australia, Norway and Greece.
Clients have included in recent times: The National Children's Home, Careers Wales, Bridgend Local Education Authority, West Dunbartonshire Authority, SESS in Ireland, Trondheim University in Norway, Dyspraxia Associations in UK, Ireland and New Zealand, as well as Afasic, The Football Association, Cardiff Social Services and Somerset Dyslexia Association.
