Managing change in Public Policy:
The roles of public sector managers are becoming increasingly complex and turbulent with a seemingly endless series of reforms, initiatives and demands. Relatively simple structures are giving way to more pluralistic contexts with an increasing emphasis on inter-organisational collaboration and partnerships. Managers therefore need to develop a critical understanding of the changing structures and processes so that tehy can develop their effectiveness.
Evaluating changes in the Public Sector:
In today’s changing environment, it is important for public sector managers to develop a critical understanding of the changing structures and processes. Particular emphasis wil be on evaluation as a learning process so that lessons emerging from evaluations are fed back into policy making processes.
