Introduction to Counselling Skills
This three day course is a general introduction to basic counselling skills, which can be applied in most work settings.
The course aims to enhance participants listening and communication skills; focusing particularly on attending skills, active listening, body language, and verbal skills such as paraphrasing, reflection, using questions appropriately and summarising.
Students, who are considering further training in counselling, will have the opportunity to have a “taster” before committing themselves further. Others may find that it just gives them another set of skills to add to their repertoire.
If you are interested in proceeding onto our Certificate in Counselling Skills, your tutor will be happy to discuss this with you.
