Tuition fees for new full-time UK and EU undergraduate students for 2012 entry
The University, along with other Universities in Wales submitted a 2012/13 "Fee Plan" to HEFCW, the Welsh Funding Council on 31 May 2011, and received approval of its Fee Plan on the 11 July 2011 from HEFCW.
The new fees will apply to new full-time EU and UK undergraduates entering in 2012/13, including those who have deferred entry until 2012.
Continuing students from 2010/11 and 2011/12 will continue to pay the old fees, and will not be subject to the new fees.
Under the proposals, focused on helping the least well off gain access to Higher Education and improving the quality of the student experience at Newport, two levels of fees have been set for students beginning in Autumn 2012: £8,250 and £9,000.
