I chose to take Photographic Art as I felt this encompassed best my passion for photography, new media and literature and allowed me the scope to explore new ways of creating and thinking. University of Wales, Newport was the only choice for me, as it had the best darkroom facilities and had a strong reputation for teaching and promoting successful emerging artists. The staff have been friendly and their guidance has proved invaluable along with the support of fellow students, which has given me a positive and rewarding university experience. I am proud to have been part of a successful book publication, which was the first time the university had ever published work in this way and I look forward to seeing what the next graduates choose for their final degree show.
