A broadcast-credited director, I have been screenwriting for a number of years, having studied film in Sixth Form. I graduated from the International Film School, Wales with a 2:1 Honours degree in Film and Video in 2006. Since then I have completed several short screenplays and two feature film scripts, with numerous scripts currently in development.
Since university I have co-produced and first-assistant directed TUESDAY’S GIRL, directed by BAFTA Cymru nominated director Matt Brown.
My first professional short film VIVE LA FRANCE (which I wrote and directed) was completed in 2010. It was selected for the South Africa International Film Festival 2010, Portobello Film Festival 2010, and won the ‘Best of the Rest’ short film at Crystal Palace International Film Festival 2010.
In March 2010 I co-produced and co-shot a documentary exposing Newport’s music scene, NEWPORT COUNTY MUSIC FESTIVAL 2010.
In May 2010 I was one of six directors chosen to direct a short film for BBC Wales as part of the annual It’s My Shout scheme. EDNA’S BENCH was broadcast on BBC 2 Wales on 22nd November 2010.
Two short screenplays of mine, A GOOD GERMAN and THE CONFESSION have beaten 200 other screenplays to qualify for the third round of the 2010/2011 Kaos Films British Short Screenplay Prize (and are currently still in competition).
Pre–production of my next short film as writer/director, holocaust-survivor drama THE REUNION begins in February 2011.
