The Phoenix: A Century Of Cinema - On Par productions with Michael Palin

Good news all for three Newport Documentary Film graduates who have set up On-Par, a Cardiff-based production company. Toby Cameron, Richard Crandon and Alex Hawkes, all of whom graduated in 2008, have recently completed their first short documentary, The Phoenix: A Century Of Cinema, which tells the story of Britain's oldest, continuously operating cinema. The film gave On-Par the opportunity to work with Michael Palin, Mark Kermode and Bill Paterson.

Future Entrepreneur Of The Year Award The team were recently invited to cover the GLC Celebrity Golf Extravaganza, a celebrity golf tournament held at Caerleon Golf Club in the run up to the Ryder Cup. The event was held to raise money for the Mayor's charity Tenovus.

Added to that On-Par was nominated for the Future Entrepreneur Of The Year Award at the Cardiff City Hall this week.
"We were delighted with the award as we were up against some very tough competition from the region. It has raised the profile of the company and will allow us to open up more business opportunities in the near future"
