The University of Wales, Newport holds taster days in a range of subjects
We offer 2 different forms of taster days to cater for individual needs.
To start with we offer taster days aimed at year 12 students. They’re designed for those who have thought about studying at university and for those who are still unsure if it’s really for them. As well as experiencing a day in the life of a Newport student and the University’s welcoming atmosphere, students will be given a hands-on experience of the courses. They will work with undergraduate student ambassadors and staff experiencing the university’s teaching and its professional technical facilities.
We also offer Secondary Teaching Taster Days for which we welcome applications to attend from those people interested in applying for one of our secondary teacher training courses for 2011 entry.
